Founded in 1981 by Harold Childers in Huntsville, AL, Elders Insurance Agency began with a Nationwide Insurance contract, offering home, auto, life, and business coverage. With a strong focus on relationships and customer service, the agency quickly earned a reputation for excellence.

Harold’s daughters, Tammy Elders and Becky Bryant, joined the business, with Tammy eventually taking over and merging her agency with her father’s. Becky became the office manager and associate agent. Under their leadership, the agency expanded its services to include farm insurance, bonds, and financial planning products.

To meet growing demand, the agency merged with the Laura Johnson Agency (Muscle Shoals, AL) and the Mickey Brewington Agency (Decatur, AL) in 2017–2018. This merger brought over 100 years of combined experience and access to a broader range of top-rated carriers beyond Nationwide.

Today, Elders Insurance Agency, led by Tammy Elders and a dedicated team, continues to prioritize personalized service and peace of mind for clients across the Tennessee Valley and beyond.
